Care and use guide

This guide covers how to set up your RestoreEarth sheet, how to use it and how to look after it. It takes a few minutes to read, and most of it is the same as for any fitted sheet.

Getting set up

  1. Use a grounded outlet. Plug the cord into an outlet with a working ground. If you're unsure about an outlet, try another one, or ask a licensed electrician to check and correct its ground. Don't use a two-to-three-prong adapter: it usually has no working ground.
  2. Fit the sheet like any fitted sheet.
  3. Clip the grounding cord onto the metal snap on the sheet.
  4. Plug the cord into the grounding port of the outlet. The cord connects to the outlet's ground only, so it gives you a path to earth and doesn't carry power. Route it under the mattress edge and keep it clear of where you sleep.

If anything arrives damaged or the cord won't connect, email support@restoreearth.store within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it.

Using it

  • Skin contact matters. The conductive threads need to touch you. Bare feet, arms and shoulders on the sheet do more than pyjamas and socks.
  • Sleep on it every night. The research we cite measured people who slept grounded every night, not occasionally, which is why our guarantee runs for 90 nights. Results vary from person to person.
  • Unplug the cord during thunderstorms, as you would any device connected to household wiring.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have an implanted device such as a pacemaker, or you're managing a medical condition. See our Safety page.

Caring for it

Your free sheet-care bag is for this.

  • Unplug the cord before washing.
  • Put the sheet in the sheet-care bag before it goes in the machine. The bag helps protect the silver fibre from snagging.
  • Washing: machine wash warm, up to 40°C. Tumble dry low or line dry. Wash every one to two weeks, as you would any fitted sheet.
  • No bleach. It degrades the silver.
  • No fabric softener or dryer sheets. They leave a coating that insulates the fibre.
  • Oils and lotions build up over time. Wash more often if you use them nightly.

Your sleep mask

Your free mulberry silk sleep mask is for use at night. Hand wash it gently and keep it away from heat.
